Shared market
The facts participants have deliberately agreed to share: the programme, its layers, who participates and the gross position of a claim.
Commercial insurance platform
Delvor is a market and operating platform for commercial insurance. Each participant works in its own controlled environment, while collaborating over the market facts they have agreed to share.
The idea
Commercial insurance is a shared transaction seen from many private positions. Delvor is designed to keep those views distinct, and to connect them through explicit identities, versions, lineage and reconciliation rather than one record everybody edits.
The facts participants have deliberately agreed to share: the programme, its layers, who participates and the gross position of a claim.
Each organisation's own underwriting, policy and claims work, private to that participant.
Each organisation's own technical accounts, reserves, payments, recoveries and ledger. Never exposed to the rest of the market.
Derived views built from the layers above, with their rules and sources recorded so a result can be rebuilt and explained.
Platform
Delvor is designed to follow a risk through its whole life, so that a position can be traced from the programme it sits in to the accounting it produces.
Compose a risk-financing programme as ordered layers, with each layer's participants and shares recorded explicitly, including multinational programmes with master and local policies.
Submission through to bind, then issuance, endorsement, renewal and cancellation, with each participant's contract held as its own position.
Notification, matching, reserves, payments and recoveries. Shared claim facts show how a loss moves through the layers without revealing any participant's private figures.
Reinsurance runs alongside direct business through explicit cessions. It never overwrites the gross transaction it relates to.
Premium, technical accounts, bordereaux, cash and settlement, through to journals, trial balance and close, with drill-back to the insurance detail behind each figure.
Governed, rebuildable reporting and analysis, and versioned interfaces for exchanging information with the systems participants already use.
Who it's for
Delvor is designed for the organisations that take part in commercial insurance, each acting in its own role and seeing only what it is entitled to see.
Ways to use it
The shared market and a participant's private operations are independent. An organisation can use either on its own, without waiting for the rest of the market to adopt the other.
Shared programme composition, placement, contract collaboration and shared claim views, with hand-off to the systems an organisation already runs.
A participant's own underwriting, policy, claims, reinsurance, finance and reporting, with no dependency on market placement.
The shared market view alongside the participant's own position. The two stay visibly and technically distinct.
Principles
A few rules run through the whole design.
A fact that isn't known is recorded as unknown. It is never filled in with a zero or a guess.
Results link back to the records, versions and rules that produced them.
Financial positions change by posting movements, so the history of a balance is always there to read.
AI can suggest how to extract or map information. It cannot silently create an authoritative or financial fact.
Delvor is in development. This site gives an overview of the platform and will be updated as it progresses.
